Where are you from Tennessee

A little about your self `ie your education Family life ect I’m a single mom/grad student/author that loves animals and books. My daughter is my ultimate inspiration. I love my job so much I don’t even consider it a job! Writing is in my blood.

Fiona: Tell us your latest news?

I just had my newest book release, the third White Aura book!

Fiona: When and why did you begin writing?

I began at age 12 to help me when I was stressed, worried, upset, etc. I started back at age 25 when I began The White Aura.

Fiona: When did you first consider yourself a writer?

I’ve always considered it a part of me, but recently I’m realizing it could actually be my career.

Fiona: What inspired you to write your first book?

I had a dream about being author, then my mom had a dream about me being an author, then I had a dream about the actual story. I wanted to try…I love being home with daughter and if I can make this a career, I can make it happen!

Fiona: Do you have a specific writing style?

 I don’t know…ask my readers!

Fiona: How did you come up with the title?

The White Aura’s title came to me when I realized who had it, The Vessel’s came to me after I finished The White Aura, and the other’s have just kind of taken some thought and popped into my head.

Fiona: Is there a message in your novel that you want readers to grasp?

There is always hope for love. There’s always hope for life.

Fiona: How much of the book is realistic?

Mangled Hearts–all of it. The White Aura Series-the characters have realistic traits, but as far as I know, sorcerers aren’t real….or are they?

Fiona: Are experiences based on someone you know, or events in your own life?

Mangled Hearts is based off a mix of things that have happened in my life.

Fiona: What books have most influenced your life most?

Oh gosh, I think all of them have some sort of influence on me!

Fiona: If you had to choose, which writer would you consider a mentor?

Hmm…so many people have helped me with this writing career, but I don’t know that any one in particular is a mentor.

Fiona: What book are you reading now?

I’m actually not stuck in a book right now, but I’ll be reading Tempt by Cambria Herbert in the next week.

Fiona: Are there any new authors that have grasped your interest?

AJM Mousseau, Keeley Smith, Sarah Cradit, Amy McClung, and a few that are just starting their writing journey that I’m super pumped about reading, Liz Lovelock and Mallory Thorpe.

Fiona: What are your current projects?

I’m working on a novelette series, Intoxicating Passion, that I’ll be releasing periodically over the next few months. I have a Christmas surprise and the second Scarred Hearts novel.

Fiona: Name one entity that you feel supported you outside of family members.

Dauntless Indies!

Fiona: Do you see writing as a career?

 I do 🙂

Fiona: If you had to do it all over again, would you change anything in your latest book? No!

Fiona: Do you recall how your interest in writing originated?

I got bored in History in 7th grade and began writing a story.

Fiona: Can you share a little of your current work with us?

Here’s an excerpt from Masked Encounters, Intoxicating Passion #1, releasing October 25th:

She stepped out of the dressing room, her long legs showing all the way up to her butt cheek. The outfit, a little red riding hood get up, was just that…little. Her boobs poured out the top while the bottom left little to the imagination. Exactly what I meant by slutty. She looked gorgeous don’t get me wrong, but slutty, nonetheless.

“What do you think?” she asked excitedly, spinning in front of the mirrors to check herself out.

“Honest?” I questioned, giving my bottom lip a gently bite. She was my best friend, I didn’t want to piss her off.

She gazed at me, nodding furiously.

“You look like a little red riding whore,” I admitted, letting my eyes travel her body. “Those guys won’t have to wonder about anything when it comes to that costume.”

She laughed loudly, jumping up and down. “Exactly what I was going for!”

Fiona: Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing?

Sometimes it’s difficult to write from a man’s perspective!

Fiona: Who is your favorite author and what is it that really strikes you about their work?

I absolutely cannot choice a favorite author! I love so many….I just can’t pick one.

Fiona: Do you have to travel much concerning your book(s)?

I go to some conventions for them, but not much travelling…I hope there’s more in the future!

Fiona: Who designed the covers?

Samantha Bagood did The White Aura, The Vessel, and Mangled Hearts. Rene Folsom did Devlin’s Descendant and the Intoxicating Passion series.

Fiona: What was the hardest part of writing your book?

Remembering what I wrote in the last one! hah!

Fiona: Did you learn anything from writing your book and what was it?

Each book has taught me about myself, about my writing, about life. Different things. Like Mangled Hearts taught me a ton about alcoholics. I did a lot of research for that.

Fiona: Do you have any advice for other writers?

 Write and never give up.

Fiona: Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers?

Ummm…I love you 🙂 I appreciate you all so much. Every time someone tells me they read and loved my book, it’s a dream come true…so thank you for helping me live out my dreams 🙂

Fiona: Other than writing do you have any hobbies

Reading. Uber Nerd, party of one!

Fiona: What TV shows/films do you enjoy watching

I don’t watch much, but I’m still obsessed with Gilmore Girls even though it went off air a few years ago!

Fiona: Favorite foods / Colors/ Music

Mac and cheese/ pink and black/ country

Fiona: If you were not a writer what else would you like to have done ?

Well, I’m working on my MBA, so I would be working for some company in the HR department.

Fiona: Do you have a blog/website? if so what is it?

Thank you, Fiona!! Really looking forward to seeing this live 🙂
