Here is my Interview`s with The ladies of The Guardians of Cridhe

Coming November 17th – The Scrolls of Cridhe – Volume 1, Highland Winds
The Scrolls of Cridhe – Volume 1, Highland Winds is a collection of seven new Scottish historical romance novellas by seven of your favorite authors: Suzan Tisdale, Sue-Ellen Welfonder, Kathryn Lynn Davis, Lily Baldwin, Ceci Giltenan, Kate Robbins and Tarah Scott
The Legend –
Long, long ago, in the time before time, seven sisters were called from the far reaches of the realm. Each brought unique talents, but had one common gift; the ability to weave ageless tales of love and courage. An evil witch coveted their gifts and locked them in a tower, silencing their voices upon threat of death. But the Highlands are enchanted, and magic will not countenance seven pure hearts such as theirs to be lost.
With no one else to hear them, they sang their stories to each other. Fate blew a braw Highland wind to their prison, and the sweet, high timbre of the sisters’ voices enthralled it. The wind gathered close their silver words as it raced past each day, and carried their love and goodness throughout the world…then across the ages.
Today, their words live on in the Guardians of Cridhe, seven sisters who have sworn to preserve those pure and musical hearts so long as they live. It is said these seven descend from those ancient female bards. Only their words can bear witness to that truth…

My books have always been my children, and our dogs. always encouraged me believe in myself and go after my dreams

Fiona: Tell us your latest news?
My historical fiction/romance novel , TOO DEEP FOR TEARS—a 7-week New York Times bestseller—just launched as an e-book. Sue-Ellen Welfonder

Name: Sue-Ellen Welfonder

Age: Early 50s. I’m a child of the 1960’s. Every decade is an adventure and I see myself blessed to have experienced each one so far.
Where are you from: Florida, but I’ve also lived in Texas. Most of my adult life was spent in Germany, so I feel most at home there. I’m currently in Florida (because of business), but will be returning to Germany. (Munich)
A little about your self `ie your education Family life etc: After college, I continued to study languages and achieved my dream, becoming an airline stewardess. I worked for the airlines for 23 years, flying international as (German) foreign language speaker on 747s. Through my airline career, I met and married my German husband, which is why I lived in Munich for so many years. I’ve been writing romantic fiction (Scottish medievals) since the release of my first book , Devil in a Kilt, in 2001. I also write Scottish time travel and ghost romances under my pen name, Allie Mackay.

Fiona: Tell us your latest news?
Sue-Ellen: I’m delighted to have joined six writer friends to form a Scottish historical author group, Guardians of Cridhe. Our first collaboration releases in Nov. 2014 and is Highland Winds, Scrolls of Cridhe Vol. I, a collection of original Scottish historical novellas. I’m also working on more Scandalous Scots novels , a 4.5 Scottish medieval romance series that launched in Dec. 2013 with the e-novella, Once Upon A Highland Christmas, and continued with To Love A Highlander, April 2014. And I’m re-releasing older Allie Mackay titles, as well as writing new books under that name.

Fiona: When and why did you begin writing?
Sue-Ellen: I never wanted to be a writer and just fell into it in the late 90s when an author friend, the late Becky Lee Weyrich, encouraged me. My dream was always to be an airline stewardess and travel the world, which I did for many years. During that time, I’d send Becky letters about my adventures in far-flung corners of the globe. She said that reading them made her feel as if she was there with me.’ That’s why she urged me to write. She became my mentor, and my first book sold, probably surprising me more than anyone.

Ceci Giltenan

Name: Ceci Giltenan

Age: I just celebrated my 52nd birthday.
Where are you from:
I grew up mostly in Maryland, outside of Washington DC. I lived in OH for several years in the late 90s. I lived in NJ for 13 years but moved to SW Florida last fall.
A little about your self `ie your education Family life etc
Although I have wanted to be an author from the time I was a girl, and studied English for a while in college, my practical side won out and I recieved a BS in nursing. I started my career as an oncology nurse at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda Maryland. I have worked at the FDA and eventually became a medical writer and a consultant in early drug development.
I have been married to my soul mate, a carpenter from Ireland, for 23 years this month. Together we have two children, a boy and a girl who are both in college. I have two dogs and two birds.

Fiona: Tell us your latest news?
Oh my—what news I have! My first two novels, Highland Solution and Highland Courage were under contract with a small, traditional publisher. After less than a year, my publisher felt it best to part ways, so in a mad scramble, I prepared both books for re-release. They are now available, at a new lower price, re-edited and with new covers, on Amazon, Barnes and Noble and Kobo. The paperback versions are available on Amazon and Highland Solution is available as an audio book on Amazon, Apple and Audible. Highland Courage will be going on sale for 0.99 this weekend for a limited time!

Fiona: When and why did you begin writing?
Well, as I said, I have been a professional medical writer for years and am published in medical journals. In 2001 my son and I co-wrote a children’s book that has never been published. Someday I will revisit it. I began writing romance in 2012 when my kids were older and I had some free time.

Fiona: Tell us your latest news?

Lily: I grew up in a rural area of NH but not far from the Seacoast. I am the second youngest of five. I have a BA in anthropology from the University of New Hampshire and a MA in International Studies from Birmingham University in the UK.

Lily: I am at work on the third book in the Isle of Mull series–as yet untitled–which I am aiming to release in late summer or early fall (fingers crossed). Fiona: When and why did you begin writing?
Lily: I started writing poetry when I was nine and attempted my first book when I was twelve. It was a coming of age story taking placed in Nazi occupied Germany. I scribbled it out in a few wide rule notebooks, which I still have in a box somewhere. The first romance novel I ever attempted was when I was thirteen or fourteen. It was a western I co-authored with my best friend (who I am lucky enough to count as my best friend still to this day).

Kate Robbins

Name Kate Robbins
Age 44
Where are you from Newfoundland, Canada
A little about your self `ie your education Family life ect
I write historical romance novels out of pure escapism and a love for all things Scottish, not to mention a life-long enjoyment of reading romance.

I love the research process and delving into secondary sources in order to give readers the most authentic historical romance possible. I’ve traveled to Scotland and have visited the sites described in my Highland Chiefs series.

Bound to the Highlander (BTTH), released October 10th, 2013, is the first of three books set during the early fifteenth century during the reign of James Stewart, first of his name.

I live in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada with my hubby, the man-beast, and my two awesome boys, the man-cubs.

Fiona: Tell us your latest news?
My debut novel, Bound to the Highlander, was released on October 10th and has been doing very well. Winner of the TARA award for historical, this fifteenth century Scottish historical romance is the first in my Highland Chiefs series.

Fiona: When and why did you begin writing?
About fourteen years ago I was doing a filmmaking course and decided to take part in a weekend screenplay workshop. I fell in love with screenplay writing and that weekend wrote a short screenplay I went on to direct, produce, and edit. It was later screened at a local film festival here in St. John’s, NL.
I later turned to playwriting and directing for youth. For seven years I directed a youth drama group at our local church. During that time we preformed twenty-five times, more than half were my original plays including two forty-five minute one-act plays preformed as dinner theatres.
I’ve always been compelled to tell stories. Novel writing is my latest medium.
