Hello and welcome to my blog, Author Interviews. My name is Fiona Mcvie.
Let’s get you introduced to everyone, shall we? Tell us your name. What is your age?
Jason: Jason Young.
Fiona: Where are you from?
Jason: I am in, Nebraska.
Fiona: A little about your self (ie, your education, family life, etc.).
Jason: My education is a high school diploma. That is it.
Fiona: Tell us your latest news.
Jason: I am currently working on a werewolf novel.
Fiona: When and why did you begin writing?
Jason: I was seven when I first started. It was for a hobby after reading, SCARY STORIES TO TELL IN THE DARK.
Fiona: When did you first consider yourself a writer?
Jason: When I was in fifth grade. Had to write a ghost story.
Fiona: What inspired you to write your first book?
Jason: I have always been obsessed with the paranormal and someone suggested Ii write a paranormal romance.
Fiona: How did you come up with the title?
Jason: It takes place in the southern state, Georgia and involves vampires, SOUTHERN VAMPIRE LOVE.
Fiona: Do you have a specific writing style? Is there anything about your style or genre that you find particularly challenging?
Jason: It can be challenging writing getting the words out. I also intend to write suspense.
Fiona: How much of the book is realistic and are experiences based on someone you know, or events in your own life?
Jason: The book originally came from an idea off of an ancestor of mine who was born and raised on a slave plantation. A slave was his nanny. Before the war broke out he made his way up north and marched with, Sherman on his march to the sea. He was was, Georgia.
Fiona: To craft your works, do you have to travel? Before or during the process?
Jason: I usually do the internet and try to use my imagination the best.
Fiona: Who designed the covers?
Jason: S. Coop, is who designed the cover.
Fiona: Is there a message in your novel that you want readers to grasp
Jason: Love can be found and met in many ways most would consider weird.
Fiona: Are there any new authors that have grasped your interest? Who is your favorite writer, and what is it about their work that really strikes you?
Jason: There are not any new authors out there that is grasping my interest right now. Brian Keene, is my favorite author.
Fiona: Outside of family members, name one entity that supported your commitment to become a published author.
Jason: Co workers to be honest. Many. Out of entities.
Fiona: Do you see writing as a career?
Jason: I see it more so as a hobby and it is something for additional money on the side but more so a hobby I work full time.
Fiona: If you had to do it all over again, would you change anything in your latest book?
Jason: No I wouldn’t change anything in my book.
Fiona: Did you learn anything during the writing of your recent book?
Jason: Learn anything. Hmmm. Not sure if I did.
Fiona: If your book was made into a film, who would you like to play the lead?
Jason: If made into a film i do not think I can answer that.
Fiona: Any advice for other writers?
Jason: Write what you know is in your heart. Be patient. Let the sound of pen on paper as it is scratching sound as if it were music from a well played instrument.
Fiona: Anything specific you want to tell your readers?
Jason: Well if you like paranormal romance please keep reading me sometimes something unusual can be made into a story that is normally not thought to be.
Fiona: What book are you reading now?
Jason: Currently not reading anything. Been super busy lots.
Fiona: Do you remember the first book you read?
Jason: First book I read had to do with the history of vampires, others that followed suit were, Bigfoot Lochness monster, U.F.O.’s as well werewolves.
Fiona: What makes you laugh/cry?
Jason: I don’t laugh very often or cry much.
Fiona: Is there one person, past or present, you would love to meet? Why?
Jason: President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, many of my passed on family members lived and grew up during the depression.
Fiona: Do you have any hobbies?
Jason: Hobbies are writing mainly. Horror is one.
Fiona: What TV shows/films do you enjoy watching?
Jason: I enjoy horror movies. Reruns from THE X FILES.
Fiona: Favorite foods, colors, music?
Jason: Chinese. Blue is a color I love. I listen to metal.
Fiona: Imagine a future where you no longer write. What would you do?
Jason: I would wanna live in a cabin off the grid on a mountain.
Fiona: You only have 24 hours to live how would you spend that time?
Jason: I would wanna be alone in the forest.
Fiona: What do you want written on your head stone?
Jason: Beneath my name, WRITER.
