Hello and welcome to my blog, Author Interviews. My name is Fiona Mcvie.

Let’s get you introduced to everyone, shall we? Tell us your name. What is your age?

Lisette Kristensen and I am old … like a crone

Fiona: Where are you from?

Originally from Southern California. Today, I live in the Canadian Rockies of Alberta.

Fiona: A little about your self (ie,  your education, family life, etc.).

I grew up in a Hollywood family. My father was in films and tv. Two brothers, one an artist. The other a horse race photographer.

Fiona: Tell us your latest news.

The big news is the release of my fifth book, Facade’s Betrayal, in the Dark Desire Series. On September 15th.

Fiona: When and why did you begin writing?

I started writing in 2005, on a dare.  I love Historical Romance, and mentioned to a friend I could do better. She dared me to do it.  That led to a short story, Unveiling Facade.

Fiona: When did you first consider yourself a writer?

After I sold Unveiling Facade to a small publishing house.

Fiona: What inspired you to write your first book?

The dare.

Fiona: How did you come up with the title?

Don’t remember lol

Fiona: Do you have a specific writing style?

Is there anything about your style or genre that you find particularly challenging?

My style is more action orientated and goes into some dark areas of BDSM and crime.

Fiona: How much of the book is realistic and are experiences based on someone you know, or events in your own life?

It is 100% fantasy.

Fiona: To craft your works, do you have to travel? Before or during the process?

No

Fiona: Who designed the covers?

A dear friend who is also my beta reader

Fiona: Is there a message in your novel that you want readers to grasp?

No overt message.

Fiona: Are there any new authors that have grasped your interest?  Who is your favorite writer, and what is it about their work that really strikes you?

The list is long, but I enjoy Stacia Kane, Jacqueline Carey for they write of flawed women who are actually quite strong.

Fiona: Outside of family members, name one entity that supported your commitment to become a published author.

My cover artist.

Fiona: Do you see writing as a career?

Yes, I do it full time.

Fiona: If you had to do it all over again, would you change anything in your latest book?

Nothing.

Fiona: Did you learn anything during the writing of your recent book?

That I am an erotica writer. I have tried other genres but erotica is where I excel.

Fiona: If your book was made into a film, who would you like to play the lead?

Eva Green
