Just me and my mom now. We are a small but happy family. And we are strong individuals. With each other’s support, we have braved through a hundred storms in life.

Fiona: Tell us your latest news?

Ans – My first book is releasing on 15th February, 2017! So excited and equally scared for it.

Fiona: When and why did you begin writing?

Ans – I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember. In my pre-teen and teen years, it was short stories, essays, magazine articles and journals. Then I started writing fanfiction in high school. I didn’t publish my earlier fanfiction online, but I started writing it, inspired by the popular medical drama, Grey’s Anatomy and it’s lead couple, Meredith and Derek.

Fiona: When did you first consider yourself a writer?

Ans – About an year ago, when I was at a crossroads in my life. That was when I first saw myself as a writer. Before that, writing had just been a hobby.

Fiona: What inspired you to write your first book?

Ans – A TV show did. Cliché but true.

Fiona: Do you have a specific writing style?

Ans – No. My writing style is subject to constant change. I like to experiment.

Fiona: How did you come up with the title?

Ans – While re-watching Music & Lyrics on Netflix, the song Way Back Into Love stuck in my head. I kept humming it to myself for a few days, before having the epiphany that the song’s title perfectly fit my novel’s theme.

Fiona: Is there a message in your novel that you want readers to grasp?

Ans – Yes. True love always finds a way.

Fiona: How much of the book is realistic and are experiences based on someone you know, or events in your own life?

Ans – A major portion of the book is based on experiences I had with my parents. I had a bad childhood, which has influenced the book greatly.

Fiona: What books have most influenced your life most? a mentor?

Ans – Around the World in Eighty Days by Jules Verne, the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling, Love Story by Erich Segal, Revolution 2020 by Chetan Bhagat. I consider Melanie Moreland, Jenny Rarden, Deb Rotuno and Autumn Winchester as my mentors and idols.

Fiona: Are there any new authors that have grasped your interest and who  is your favorite author and what is it that really strikes you about their work?

Ans – Deb Rotuno, Jenny Rarden and Autumn Winchester. I’m not new to their writing per se, but they are new writers, yes. Favourite amongst them would be Deb. Her plotlines are the most uniquely executed.

Fiona: Name one entity that you feel supported you outside of family members.

Ans – Patsy Smith, a very loyal reader of my works.

Fiona: Do you see writing as a career?

Ans – Yes, now I do.

Fiona: If you had to do it all over again, would you change anything in your latest book?

Ans – Um, no. It was kinda an experiment. I wanted to see what people’s response to it was like. I wouldn’t change a single thing, because if I hadn’t written what I wrote, I would have never been able to identify my mistakes.
