Name: Isabel Castruita
Where are you from: Pueblo, Colorado
Fiona: Tell us your latest news?
I am currently working on new books. I have my first Fantasy Series releasing this year called: Onizuca: Outer Earth Series.
Fiona: When and why did you begin writing?
I begin writing in June of 2010. I love reading and I wanted to see if I could write a book myself.
Fiona: When did you first consider yourself a writer?
I first considered myself a writer after I put one of my books on Textnovel.com and they liked it and wanted me to get votes from people. That really made me feel amazing and believe in myself as a writer.
Fiona: What inspired you to write your first book?
I was sitting at the computer one morning and I thought “Why don’t I try to write my own book.” I already wanted to be a Manga Comic Book creator but the story portion was lacking so I thought that writing a book would help get the process moving along for me.
Fiona: Do you have a specific writing style?
Fiona: How did you come up with the title?
I sat for hours writing titles on a piece of paper. Then Ichecked Amazon to make sure that the title was available. It was and I used it.
Fiona: Is there a message in your novel that you want readers to grasp?
I want my readers to feel as though they can do whatever they set their mind to. You are strong and I believe in you!
Fiona: How much of the book is realistic and are experiences based on someone you know, or events in your own life?
Most of my book’s are realistic because I want the reader to be in the present and feel what the characters are feeling. Sometimes I use events from my life to show my readers that yes, this actually happened to me.
Fiona: What books have most influenced your life most? a mentor?
The Resident Evil Series, Vampire Academy, Bloodlines, Tithe: A Modern Faeriy Tale. The two mentor’s I have are: Kathleene Ball, and Aisha Waters. These two amazingly talented authors have supported me from day 1 and I am so grateful to have them both in my life!
Fiona: Are there any new authors that have grasped your interest and who is your favorite author and what is it that really strikes you about their work?
I know so many talented authors that it’s tough to pick just one of them. My favorite authors are: S.D. Perry, Richelle Mead, Holly Black. All these ladies have written spectacular books and I hope to achieve their level of success one day.
Fiona: Name one entity that you feel supported you outside of family members.
Kathleen Ball. I met her on the site: http://www.textnovel.com/home.php
Fiona: Do you see writing as a career?
Fiona: If you had to do it all over again, would you change anything in your latest book?
No. The finished product is ready once I have completed the book.
Fiona: Do you recall how your interest in writing originated?
Yes. I was sitting at the computer one morning and the thought popped into my head “Why don’t I try writing a book?”
Fiona: Can you share a little of your current work with us?
Yes. This piece is from: Card Masters: Invited by the Elements- Book 1 “WIP Currently on: https://www.inkitt.com/?ref=v_44617917-d32e-4738-8893-d9a883dfc2ce

Fiona: Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing?
Yes. I have disabilities so my writing style is different and unique from most other authors out there today. But I do NOT let them keep me from doing what I love, which is writing books.
Fiona: Do you have to travel much concerning your book(s)?
I have yet to travel since I am still an unknown Indie Author. But I would love to one day.
Fiona: Who designed the covers?
My 3 books that are currently published are designed by: Lisa Vasquez: owner of Stitch Smile Publications.
Fiona: What was the hardest part of writing your book?
Making sure that I put as much detail in them as possible.
Fiona: Did you learn anything from writing your book and what was it?
Yes. I wrote my first Sports Fiction book “Currently looking for a publisher for this Series: “The Underdog By: Alandra Hensley” I learned that the wrestling business for females is tough because they have more to prove then the men that they belong in the same industry and should be treated as such.
