I graduated from L.I.U. (Brooklyn Campus), New York Film Academy, Frederick Douglas Academy. I studied Screenwriting, Film Production, T.V. Production and other Media Arts courses.
Fiona: Tell us your latest news?
I released two books: Vertical Algebra, Exotic Ignorance: Ep. 8 Camouflage Pizza. Vertical Algebra is a two in one book. The latter half of the book is Pierre La Fluent’s Dictionary. Vertical Algebra is motivational quotes from a Black Englishman translated by me and a Crater Rock Alien from Mars. The book consists of a pronunciation dictionary that gives a better understanding of extra-terrestrial terms. Pierre La Fluent’s Dictionary is my personal colloquialisms mixed with sentences to enhance the reader’s experience. Exotic Ignorance Ep. 8 Camouflage Pizza is about an online ad that creates a revolution in the streets and online. These titles are available on Amazon.
Fiona: When and why did you begin writing?
I always enjoyed using my imagination for in class and homework assignments when I was in Public School. However, later on in life I wanted to mix thought with entertainment.
Fiona: When did you first consider yourself a writer?
I considered myself a Writer when I completed my first book, “The Disappearance Of Hate”. A poetry book focusing on one’s journey to freedom.
Fiona: What inspired you to write your first book?
I used to write poetry in College and at home. I developed a collection of entries and sent them to the Library of Congress. A Publisher contacted me, but unfortunately, it didn’t work. Then, I decided to go the self publishing route.
Fiona: Do you have a specific writing style?
Fiona: How did you come up with the title?
I was thinking of a title for my book and the title came from God.
Fiona: Is there a message in your novel that you want readers to grasp?
Exotic Ignorance teaches people to be mindful when responding to ads and meeting people offline. Also, to shed light on how people are more willing to express particular beliefs and behavior on the internet.
Fiona: How much of the book is realistic and are experiences based on someone you know, or events in your own life?
It’s fictional but, relates to my time reading and interacting on forums and personal ads.
Fiona: What books have most influenced your life most? a mentor?
“Makes Me Wanna Holler”-Nathan McCall, “The Gospel Of Hip Hop” by KRS-One, “As A Man Thinketh” by James Allen and “Succeeding Against The Odds” by John H. Johnson. Most of my mentors are rappers who I’ve listened to such as Nas, Rakim, Canibus, Big L, Big Daddy Kane, Mos Def, etc.
Fiona: Are there any new authors that have grasped your interest and who is your favorite author and what is it that really strikes you about their work?
I can’t think of any new authors at the moment. I will get back to you if I think of any. I don’t have a favorite author
Fiona: Name one entity that you feel supported you outside of family members.
Consultant Dee Meglio has been supported me and giving me invaluable insight and knowledge with my projects.
Fiona: Do you see writing as a career?
It is my career.
Fiona: If you had to do it all over again, would you change anything in your latest book?
No, I’m pretty satisfied.
Fiona: Do you recall how your interest in writing originated?
It originated with writing poetry and hanging out with friends.

I can’t listen to people’s problems anymore. It’s draining. After my last session, I got high in the bathroom. Not the first time. I prayed as I got high. I asked for God’s forgiveness. I need some stronger meds.
Fiona: Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing?
Thinking of which book to release and making sure each book is different than the previous one.
Fiona: Do you have to travel much concerning your book(s)?
Sometimes it depends. I traveled more frequently with my earlier books. I sold copies in the streets and at festivals.
Fiona: Who designed the covers?
Fiona: What was the hardest part of writing your book?
Multi-tasking with both books and releasing them before the end of the year.
Fiona: Did you learn anything from writing your book and what was it?
Sometimes when you think the book is done it really isn’t because you have a flurry of new ideas that you want to incorporate in the book to make it better.
Fiona: If any of your books was made into a film who would you like to play the lead?
Funny you ask this. My book “Texting In New York City” was made into a film. It’s a story about a young black college student, Winnerbeme who loses a cellphone after approaching a beautiful black woman named Akeesha.
Fiona: Do you have any advice for other writers?
Stay positive, keep writing, be original and don’t be afraid to market your work.

Reading, listening to music, hanging out and meeting cool people.
