 Fiona: Tell us your latest news?

Ummm, I just mowed the grass. 🙂


Fiona: When and why did you begin writing?

I began through my love of Table Top Gaming around the time I was in High School


Fiona: When did you first consider yourself a writer?

About the time I was published.


Fiona: What inspired you to write your first book?

I had a story to tell.


Fiona: Do you have a specific writing style?



 Fiona: How did you come up with the title?

I went through several, but since I play with a “chosen one” type character, it felt good to start with his Genesis.


 Fiona: Is there a message in your novel that you want readers to grasp?

I hope there’s several, but they’ll have to read it to see.


Fiona: How much of the book is realistic?

Well, it’s speculative fiction, so I’d say I play with reality and realism so there’s actually alot in it that’s real—to an extent.


Fiona: Are experiences based on someone you know, or events in your own life?

No. If so, my life would be way more exciting.


 Fiona: What books have most influenced your life most? a mentor?

When I was younger, it’d be The Redwall Series and later, Dune.


Fiona: What book are you reading now?

Foundation, Stranger in Strange Land, Tales of the Ketty Jay and an assortment of comics.


Fiona: Are there any new authors that have grasped your interest?

Mark Hodder. Chris Wooding. Daniel Polansky. Michael Fletcher. Jon Sprunk. Peter Newman. Charles Phipps and others.


Fiona: What are your current projects?

Book Two of my Kingdom Come Series


Fiona: Name one entity that you feel supported you outside of family members.

Fiona: Do you see writing as a career?



Fiona: If you had to do it all over again, would you change anything in your latest book?

I’m a Tinker, so I think I could always go back and find something to tweak.


Fiona: Do you recall how your interest in writing originated?

No. Storytelling came first. Then reading.


 Fiona: Can you share a little of your current work with us?

The Dark won’t let me…


Fiona: Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing?

It’s time being a new dad has really changed the game, but I wouldn’t change it for the world; got to make some new rules though. 🙂


Fiona: Who is your favorite author and what is it that really strikes you about their work?

Frank Herbert. The depth and substance in his writing.


 Fiona: Do you have to travel much concerning your book(s)?

No *sigh*


Fiona: Who designed the covers?

Angela R. Sasser Fiona: What was the hardest part of writing your book? Coming to the end. At the time, I could’ve just kept going and going and going.


Fiona: Did you learn anything from writing your book and what was it?

Writing Ain’t No Joke. Takes alot to sit and capture your ideas in a cohesive way that’s both telling and interesting for others to read.


Fiona: Do you have any advice for other writers?

Do you. Fans will come from that. Be someone else? Then you’re only a reflection.


 Fiona: Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers?

Thank you.


Fiona: Do you remember the first book you read?

It was either Dracula or a Mega Man novel, but I’m not always confident which came first.


Fiona: What makes you laugh/cry?

Honest funny moments, witty comments or dialogue . It’s usually never just words, but words coupled with great music will get me to cry


Fiona: Is there one person pass or present you would meet and why?

Lucius Quinctius Cincinnatus and simply to ask him Why and How did he turn it down.


 Fiona: What do you want written on your head stone and why ?

I won’t have a headstone. I hope to burn on a pyre.


Fiona: Other than writing do you have any hobbies ?

Putting aside all geek stuff: comics, cartoons, movies; I like getting tattoos and drinking with friends.


 Fiona: What TV shows/films do you enjoy watching?

Vikings, Game of Thrones, Walking Dead, Dare Devil, House of Cards…if I couldn’t record shows, I’d never get to watch anything.


Fiona: Favorite foods / Colors/ Music

Meat and Potatoes. I dig every color, but I wear alot of black and green. I like Rock.


Fiona: If you were not a writer what else would you like to have done?
