Name  Michelle Escamilla

Age 33

Where are you from Colorado

A little about your self `ie your education Family life etc

I am married and a mom of 2 kiddos. I was a stay at home mom for many years and recently went back to work and am now working in law enforcement

Fiona: Tell us your latest news?

My 3rd book in my paranormal thriller series will be releasing soon!!

Fiona: When and why did you begin writing?

I love to read and I was waiting for a few books to release and my husband told me to try writing my own.

Fiona: When did you first consider yourself a writer?

I’m still a work in progress haha

Fiona: What inspired you to write your first book?

It’s no longer available, but I loved reading about love triangles, so I wanted to write my own

Fiona: Do you have a specific writing style?

Nope 🙂 I like to try everything

Fiona: How did you come up with the title?

Honestly, they just kind of pop up and thankfully they work haha

Fiona: Is there a message in your novel that you want readers to grasp?

Not really, I just hope that people enjoy my stories

Fiona: How much of the book is realistic ?

None at all. My stories are fantasy, if only we could have a fairy godmother lol

Fiona: Are experiences based on someone you know, or events in your own life?

Some of them are based on me. A few of my side characters are based on my friends

Fiona: What books have most influenced your life most? a mentor?

I loved reading Maya Banks and Tara Sivec when I was writing – those women have amazing talent

Fiona: What book are you reading now?

Unfortunately, the book I’m reading now is Colorado Revised Statutes lol. I have a mile long list of books I need to catch up on

Fiona: Are there any new authors that have grasped your interest?

Since getting back to work – I feel horrible for saying this but I’m out of the reading loop.

Fiona: What are your current projects?

I am getting through edits on Book 3, Spellbound,  and then once I have a set schedule down – I hope to get a new story started

Fiona: Name one entity that you feel supported you outside of family members.

I have a circle of friends that enjoy reading my books and without them I would feel empty as a writer.

Fiona: Do you see writing as a career?

I do 🙂

Fiona: If you had to do it all over again, would you change anything in your latest book?

Oh goodness no 🙂

Fiona: Do you recall how your interest in writing originated?

Just when my husband told me to try it out and write a short story, and it became 200 pages haha

Fiona: Can you share a little of your current work with us?

Well, you would have to read book 1 and 2, but this will close out Emma’s story and she will face a whole new witch with really strong powers

Fiona: Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing?

When I get writers block, it hits hard.

Fiona: Who is your favorite author and what is it that really strikes you about their work?

I really enjoy Tara Sivec. Her sense of humor is a lot of fun.

Fiona: Do you have to travel much concerning your book(s)?

No 😦 but I wish I did haha

Fiona: Who designed the covers?

Redbird  Designs

Fiona: What was the hardest part of writing your book?

Having to take breaks haha

Fiona: Did you learn anything from writing your book and what was it?

Sometimes I feel like I have this great story rolling and realize that I forgot to say how it happened. In my mind I know how it did, but forget people can’t read my mind

Fiona: Do you have any advice for other writers?

If you have a story, put it down on paper. I’ve heard they don’t know if they could do it. Just try.

Fiona: Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers?

Thank you SO much for checking out my books. It warms my heart to see people interested

Fiona: Do you remember the first book you read?

I’m pretty sure it was something by R. L. Stein, as a young kid. Going back even further – definitely Dr. Suess

Fiona: What makes you laugh/cry?

My kids. For both. They are hilarious and seeing them grow.up is sad

Fiona: Is there one person pass or present you would meet and why?

Hmmm…I’m not sure I have an answer for this….perhaps Kristen Bell. She was an inspiration to Careful What You Wish For  (my romcom)

Fiona: What do you want written on your head stone and why ?

Uhhh…I have no idea

Fiona: Other than writing do you have any hobbies ?

Love to run, hike, and spend time with my husband, kids and sister

Fiona: What TV shows/films do you enjoy watching?

I love just about everything.

Fiona: Favorite foods / Colors/ Music

My favorite food is food. I’m not a picky eater and love it all haha! Color – red and green and music – I’m not picky about this either…if it has a catchy tune, I will probably enjoy it. Except Justin Bieber. Lol

Fiona: If you were not a writer what else would you like to have done?

Actually, I’m following through with my ‘other’. I’ve always wanted to be in law enforcement and I just entered the academy 🙂

Fiona: Do you have a blog/website?

If so what is it? I don’t 😦 but I’m pretty much on all social media platforms
