Name : Jordan K. Rose

Age: Oh, old enough. J

Where are you from: I live in Rhode Island, USA with my husband and our two wonderful black Labradors Dino and Enzo.

Fiona: Tell us your latest news?

I have a number of projects happening at the same time. I’m currently in the midst of a sexy paranormal short story series, which my newsletter subscribers receive for free on release day. So, I encourage people who like paranormal romance to sign up. Here’s the link:

Fiona: When and why did you begin writing?

I began writing about 5 years ago after my husband gave me a copy of Twilight for our anniversary. I’ve always loved vampires, but never considered writing until a few months later after I’d voraciously read 18 vampire romances and Bram Stoker’s Dracula. That’s when I decided to write and when I finished my first book I considered myself a writer because I never looked back, but kept writing.

Fiona: Do you have a specific writing style?

I really don’t. I tend to plan as I go vs. plotting the story so I’m as surprised at how a story turns out as the reader.

Fiona: How did you come up with the title?

Sometimes they simply come to me, like my June 2016 release, Book 3 in The Eva Prim Series, The Road To Hell. Whereas the title for my April 2016 release, The Vampire’s Prophecy, was a bit more difficult to decide. I think naming books might be like naming kids. Sometimes you just know what the name is going to be and other times, it takes some work to decide.

Fiona: Is there a message in your novel that you want readers to grasp?

I’ve heard it said that most writers have an overarching theme to their books. I don’t know that I have one. Though, in all my books the main characters are looking to belong—whether that the straight romances where the heroes and heroines are trying to find their loves or in the Eva Prim books where her goal is to find friends. I suppose if I had to name it, the theme would be a sense of belonging.

Fiona: How much of the book is realistic?

I’m going to say none!

Fiona: What are your current projects?

I’m currently wrapping up the finishing touches on The Vampire’s Prophecy and in full swing with The Road To Hell. As well I have a super secret project that will release in my Snack Of The Week Club, featuring characters from the Eva Prim Series. Anyone interested should join at

Fiona: Do you see writing as a career?

Yes, absolutely.

Fiona: If you had to do it all over again, would you change anything in your latest book?

No, I don’t think I would.

Fiona: Do you have to travel much concerning your book(s)?

I don’t. Occasionally I will attend a conference, but generally I don’t have to travel.

Fiona: Who designed the covers?

For Eva Prim, Cris Ortega at and for the Romance In Central City Series Robin from

Fiona: Do you have any advice for other writers?

Keep writing. It can be a challenge, but the best thing to do it keep at, produce more books and keep going.

Fiona: Is there one person pass or present you would meet and why?

Lucille Ball because she was my favorite person when I was a kid. I even named by male dog after her when I was three, much to my father’s disappointment. My character, Eva Prim, is a combination of Lucy and Elvira with a lot of vampire!

Fiona: What do you want written on your head stone and why ?

I don’t want a headstone!

Fiona: Other than writing do you have any hobbies ?

I love music and spending time with my hubby, family and dogs. The beach if my favorite place to go.

Fiona: Favorite foods / Colors/ Music

chocolate, I love every color and I enjoy most music.

Jordan loves vampires. She also loves to laugh. And if you know anything about Jordan, you know her vampires will make you laugh.

A few years back Jordan received a copy of Twilight from her husband as part of her anniversary gift. By the end of that week she’d read the entire series and moved onto Anne Rice’s Vampire Chronicles. Eight weeks and eighteen vampire books later the idea for her first book came to her followed very quickly by Eva Prim.

Having lived in Rhode Island for most of her life Jordan uses the state as a backdrop for all her books, though many of the cities and towns and businesses (especially the ones run by vampires) are all fictitious.

When she’s not writing about one vampire or another Jordan enjoys spending time with her husband, Ken and their lovable Labradors, Dino and Enzo on the beautiful beaches of New England.
