Name   Kenzie Mack

Age  40 and holding

Where are you from?

Canada, now California

A little about your self `ie your education Family life etc

I’m married with children, pets and the job of wrangling the voices in my head.

Fiona: Tell us your latest news?

Moon Secrets, the third and most action packed book in my Moon Series has just been released. Yay!

Fiona: When and why did you begin writing?

I literally woke up six years ago with a story pouring out of my brain and I’ve been returning to the keyboard regularly ever since.

Fiona: When did you first consider yourself a writer?

When I found myself typing at 6AM instead of sleeping.

Fiona: What inspired you to write your first book?

My first published book, Moon Shadows, came to me while exchanging funny emails with my critique partner, Ms. Lily Vega. A short story class by the talented Louisa Bacio helped me complete this project.

Fiona: Do you have a specific writing style?

I tend to write tight. I throw away unnecessary words.

Fiona: How did you come up with the title?

The characters are wild shifters who first reveal themselves to John as wolves. The moon, a wolf and a sexy man completed my first cover.

Fiona: Is there a message in your novel that you want readers to grasp?

Love is love, no matter what shape or form it takes.

Fiona: How much of the book is realistic?

The story takes place in present day CA. The shifters … not so much. 🙂

Fiona: Are experiences based on someone you know, or events in your own life?

Nope.

Fiona: What books have most influenced your life most? a mentor?

I’ve always been an avid reader. Stephan King’s, On Writing, helped greatly with my craft.

Fiona: What book are you reading now?

I’m currently reading Going All In by my favorite author the talented Lily Vega.

Fiona: What are your current projects?

I’m working on the final book in my Moon Series, Moon Destiny. John’s story is coming to an end.

Fiona: Do you see writing as a career?

Writing is a compulsion and may never pay the bills, but writers have to write.

Fiona: Can you share a little of your current work with us?

Here is the blurb for Moon Destiny ~ John’s early and unusual transformation leaves the pack in chaos.  Will his bond with Ebony withstand their uncertain future?  Until he convinces the pack he isn’t to blame for a pack member’s death, he can’t protect anyone, not even himself.  His journey into this magical shifting world takes a detour he never expected and leads him to discover the true purpose of his destiny.

Fiona: Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing?

I write with humor and have to keep it in check to ensure the tension isn’t lost. Comic relief can be tricky.

Fiona: Do you have to travel much concerning your book(s)?

Writers often travel to conferences to keep improving their skills. I haven’t done a book signing, but hope to one day.

Fiona: Who designed the covers?

 http://ebookcoverdesignsbycarey.com/

Fiona: What was the hardest part of writing your book?

Sticking to deadlines is tough. And stopping the chronic need to edit is often difficult for me.

Fiona: Do you have any advice for other writers?

Read, read, read. Also take classes, always. No one can ever learn everything.

Fiona: Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers?

My books offer Reader’s Choice and hyper links to move through the story. You can pick John’s romantic lead and the heat level. I offer reader’s the power to choose the story they want at the heat level they desire.

Fiona: What makes you laugh/cry?

I’m a big movie fan. I love to watch romantic comedies. I prefer not to cry from books or movies, but sometimes its unavoidable.

Fiona: Other than writing do you have any hobbies?

We’ve just joined a wine club. So perhaps I’m developing the hobby of wine consumption. 🙂

Fiona: What TV shows/films do you enjoy watching?

I’m a total sci-fi fan and enjoy watching every new show that comes along.

Fiona: Favorite foods / Colors/ Music

Lobster/yellow/alternative

Fiona: If you were not a writer what else would you like to have done?

I’ve been a teacher’s aid and would perhaps have been a teacher.

Fiona: Do you have a blog/website? If so what is it?

You can connect with me at my website/blog
