A little about your self `ie your education Family life etc  I have a BA in Psychology, Associates in Social  Work and Psychology. I’m about 8 classes away from a Masters in Education. I’ve been married for 19 years have two children.

Fiona: Tell us your latest news?

I have two new stories coming out. Well one new one and one old one.  The Sugar Daddies Series: Book One Secrets Unwrapped is the new story. The Fantasy Is Alive: Book One, Possession of The Soul as an old story but one that I love.

Fiona: When and why did you begin writing?

I actually started writing in college. I’ve written genealogy articles, a few things for the local paper before I got hold of one of Jaid Black’s books and that was it. With my mom’s encouragement I wrote my first story the one above. Possession of The Soul, aka The Claiming.

Fiona: When did you first consider yourself a writer?

The first time I heard someone squeal my name, shocking the crap out of me four years ago.

Fiona: What inspired you to write your first book?

The Trek series and a friend.

Fiona: Do you have a specific writing style?

I usually don’t plot out a story. A story will pop in my head and I write it down before I forget. When I have time to start on it I just start writing.

Fiona: How did you come up with the title?

This is one of the hardest parts for me. I usually have to write a few down before one will stick with me.

Fiona: Is there a message in your novel that you want readers to grasp?

No. I just want my stories to grasp the reader right from the beginning and to hold them to the end.

Fiona: How much of the book is realistic?

A lot of my female characters hold many of my traits or what I believe I hold. I’ve worked a couple of cities I’ve lived in one or two of my stories too.

Fiona: Are experiences based on someone you know, or events in your own life? Both.

Fiona: What books have most influenced your life most? a mentor?

I have a few mentors, Faith Bicknell-Brown and Lori Perkins are the two that stand out the most.

Fiona: What book are you reading now?

Laurann Dohner and Cherise Sinclair. Love their books.

Fiona: Are there any new authors that have grasped your interest?

So many, but the new ones I’m excited to try are Shayla Black, Lexi Blake, and Sierra Cartwright are a few I want to explore.

Fiona: What are your current projects?

A new series called Heart and Soul Series. Think music, paranormal with a hint of danger..

Fiona: Name one entity that you feel supported you outside of family members.

Riverdale Ave. Books

Fiona: Do you see writing as a career?

 Yes.

Fiona: If you had to do it all over again, would you change anything in your latest book?

Nope, not yet.

Fiona: Do you recall how your interest in writing originated?

Yes, reading the Trek series opened the window and stories came flooding in.

Fiona: Can you share a little of your current work with us?

I’m working on one story, but I’m stuck so I’m going to start on the third book in my Surrender series it’s been bugging me.

Fiona: Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing?

Editing is my downfall. I guess I’m very lucky to have a few great editors that work with me.

Fiona: Who is your favorite author and what is it that really strikes you about their work?

I have a few. Sherrilyn Kenyon, Christine Feehen, Cherise Sinclair, Laurann Dohner are just a few.

I try and go to a few conventions every year. This year I’ll be doing five.

Fiona: Who designed the covers?

I have two people I work with, Insatiable Designs and Original Syn, both are great ladies.

Fiona: What was the hardest part of writing your book?

Series, keeping everything straight.

Fiona: Did you learn anything from writing your book and what was it?

Never give no matter what. No one is perfect and we are learning every day.

Fiona: Do you have any advice for other writers?

Same as above. Never give up and keep your mind open because there is much to learn.
