Fiona: Tell us your latest news?

Fiona: When and why did you begin writing?
I wrote my first short story at age 6. I continued to write mysteries and short stories through my childhood.
Fiona: When did you first consider yourself a writer?
When my first book Forbidden Quest was published
Fiona: What inspired you to write your first book?
My first book is a Scifi romance titled Tempest Rise- I love romance and scifi
Fiona: Do you have a specific writing style?
I write in multiple POV. I want my readers to know what everyone is thinking and experiencing.
Fiona: How did you come up with the title? I will make a list of possible titles and choose the one that ‘feels’ right.
Fiona: Is there a message in your novel that you want readers to grasp?
Friendship is priceless and can see you through hardships when nothing else can.
Fiona: How much of the book is realistic?
I write fiction so it’s all fantasy.
Fiona: If you had to choose, which writer would you consider a mentor?
Fiona: Are there any new authors that have grasped your interest?
Scott Weaver- Damned Summer a horror novel, good vs evil
Fiona: What are your current projects?
Termination Rule, book 4 of the Rule Series. It’s an active shooter novel with a touch of romance
Fiona: Name one entity that you feel supported you outside of family members.
Gossamer Publishing- they do my covers and offer priceless advice and support.
Fiona: Do you see writing as a career?
My sales have increased such that I hope to begin writing full time in 2015
Fiona: If you had to do it all over again, would you change anything in your latest book?
Fiona: Can you share a little of your current work with us?
Termination Rule takes place in a contact center and a small mountain community in Utah. The book continues the story of the series characters centering around Jake a 16 yr old working his first job. Jake has a crush on Mia, the teenage part-time receptionist at the contact center who is the target of a sleazy warehouse worker.
Fiona: Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing?
Finding the time to write. I have 7 kids and work a full time job, I am constantly interrupted.
Fiona: Who is your favorite author and what is it that really strikes you about their work?
Terry Brooks his imagination, dedication to his work and intelligence is refreshing and inventive.
Fiona: Do you have to travel much concerning your book(s)?

Fiona: Do you have any advice for other writers?
Don’t give up write when you can, edit, edit, edit. Believe in yourself even when others don’t.
Fiona: Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers?
I love my readers. I love to hear from them. I have even started adding my email address at the end of my books in case anyone wants to contact me.
Fiona: Do you remember the first book you read?
I remember a pop-up book about a princess and a dragon. lol
Fiona: Other than writing do you have any hobbies ?
I sing contemporary Christian music and oil paint.
Fiona: What TV shows/films do you enjoy watching?
Bones, Big Bang Theory, Once Upon a Time, Reign, Game of Thrones
