Fiona: Tell us your latest news?

I’m getting ready to do a cover reveal on Facebook for my book, along with finishing up writing of the book!

Fiona: When and why did you begin writing?

I began writing around the age of 15, I began writing because it was relaxing along with excitement of the story(s) that I would write. I stopped due to no inspiration to give me that push that I needed to continue it like I do now.

Fiona: When did you first consider yourself a writer?

I first considered myself a write when I was asked to write a short story for an Anthology called Eight til’ Christmas with 7 other International authors

Fiona: What inspired you to write your first book?

What inspired me to write my book, was just about anything, I like looking at details of things, everything has a story behind it, and my liking for Paranormal and Romance quickly grew quickly from one simple paragraph to a full book.

Fiona: Do you have a specific writing style?

I am a method writer; I become the character, and have a connection to them in some way.

Fiona: How did you come up with the title?

I came up with the title after I had two chapters done in the book. I was unsure what to name it at first and while I was writing it came to me to name it L’obscurité de l’Amour (Darkness of Love)

Fiona: Is there a message in your novel that you want readers to grasp?

Yes, the simplest things can be a battle between heart and mind; where the heart needs to figure out on its own, in time

Fiona: How much of the book is realistic?

There are some parts that are based on reality but the majority of the book is fantasy

Fiona: Are experiences based on someone you know, or events in your own life?

There are a couple of places in the book that were from experiences. Others are thoughts from creative thinking.

Fiona: What books have most influenced your life most?

I don’t think that I have ever read a book that hasn’t influenced my life. There are so many to even name off the top of my head, there is influence in just about any book that I have read.

Fiona: If you had to choose, which writer would you consider a mentor?

A writer that I would consider my mentor would definitely be S.E Hall; she has helped me out tremendously, and is such a good friends. When she explains things its straight to the point, which is great.

Fiona: What book are you reading now?

Right now I am reading the Evolve series by S.E Hall. I was hooked on them the minute I started reading!

Fiona: Are there any new authors that have grasped your interest?

T.M Lazar has grabbed my interest with her book that was recently published called The Last Glass! She is extremely talented.

Fiona: What are your current projects?

Currently I am working on Darkness of Love, finishing it off editing adding bits and pieces where needed.

Fiona: Name one entity that you feel supported you outside of family members.

One entity outside of family that I feel supported me, would be other authors, their work and dedication to their writing career, gives me that boost I need sometimes to keep going.

Fiona: Do you see writing as a career?

Absolutely! I strive to make this a career for myself, it’s a great experience, along with the thrill and excitement and the feeling of self accomplishment when a piece of my work is completed.

Fiona: If you had to do it all over again, would you change anything in your latest book?

Oh boy, if I could change anything in my latest book; it would have to be a little more detailed in some parts, I had a deadline for it and had a short amount of time to complete it.

Fiona: Do you recall how your interest in writing originated?

My interest in writing sparked when I would write my thoughts down; like a journal/diary, writing just cleared my mind; and helped me relax so I continued with it.

Fiona: Can you share a little of your current work with us?

My head started to throb again, I was glaring at Agnes; everything begun to move in slow motion. I slowly fell to the floor feeling my head bounced as it hit the floor. I was in a daze, confused. Gene and Agnes jumped from their chairs quickly rushing over to me, Agnes did not touch me she stood over me shouted I imagined, since her arms were pointing to me along with her gesture and movements. Gene had gotten on the floor, hesitating to touch me, I guessed because he was unsure to what was happening. He kept looking up to Agnes saying something, yelling. The vein in his neck was popping. It started growing dark; my eyes were rolling into the back of my head. My hearing snapped back in and back out. But I could hear them arguing. But one thing stuck out of the argument…

Fiona: Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing?

Sometimes I find myself, typing quicker than I can think, and have a couple of times left a big Plot whole In the book. I realized I did a while after and had to figure out how to fix it without having to go through the last half that I had completed to change everything

Fiona: Who is your favorite author and what is it that really strikes you about their work?

My favorite author right now is S.E Hall; her books are very detailed, and catch my interest because I can picture everything that is happening in the book, in my mind as I read.

Fiona: Do you have to travel much concerning your book(s)?

I do not travel concerning my book; if I need inspiration I look up pictures, or listen to music to fit the mood of the book at that moment.

Fiona: Who designed the covers?

I personally designed my book cover!

Fiona: What was the hardest part of writing your book?

The hardest part about writing my book, would have to be when I came to a standstill in it and couldn’t think were to go with it, so I would have to break for a couple of days until it came to me; rather than trying to force it and it not turn out right.

Fiona: Did you learn anything from writing your book and what was it?

I learn more every time I write! Each time I start typing away, my mind slowly grasps how the book should be formatted and laid out.

Fiona: Do you have any advice for other writers?

Never stop!  If you are passionate about it, and it feels good to write it, then write! Never let anyone tell you that you can not to do or that you will never make it; always stay positive. Also if when writing, you start to get frustrated when things aren’t coming together right, walk away for a bit.

Fiona: Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers?

Well I would love to say thank you for supporting me, every way that you can, and giving my books/short stories a read; along with giving me great feedback about them, and hope you are just as excited for the release of Darkness of Love as I am!
